A drug is typically used as a drugs to cure diseases. But sometimes it's taken by some people as a habit to urge amusement or relief from pain. This habit of taking harmful drug is named drug addiction. Drug addiction is a-curse of recent civilization. Nowadays, it's become a worldwide problem. Drug addiction has grasped the young generation in our country. The people that take drug cannot stop taking it. There are some reasons behind this addiction. Some take drugs to forget their painful past or present, some take drugs as a search of delight. Some people, at first, take a drug as a fun but afterwards it turns into an addiction for them. The after effects of drug addiction are very harmful and high. The health of the addicts breaks down. They lose their mental and physical power.

They lose their social station and therefore the love of their near and dear ones also. Everybody dislikes or hates them. Various sorts of diseases attack them. They suffer from amnesia, insomnia, nausea, physical weakness, and vital sign and from many other critical diseases. Their lungs, kidneys and livers also are damaged. Drugs are expensive. So, the addicts often choose stealing, hijacking, killing and every one kinds of misdeeds to manage money. For this reason, it should be stopped at any cost. Addiction to drugs are often checked by creating social awareness. The mass media can play an efficient role during this regard. Seminars, discussion and debate should be held in schools, colleges and universities now then. The govt. alone cannot solve this problem. People must cooperate with it. Above all, the principles of faith can play the foremost important role.
