BCL Activist Threatens to Kill DUCSU VP

An activist of Bangladesh Chhatra League has allegedly threatened to kill Dhaka University Central building vice-president Nurul Haque Nur after he serves out his tenure in March.

Nurul filed a complaint with Dhaka University proctor Golam Rabbani during this regard on Sunday afternoon.

In his complaint, Nurul said that Adnan Ahmed Nabil, an activist of Salimullah Hall unit Chhatra League and politics department third-year student, had threatened to kill him while he was passing the DUCSU cafeteria with a number of his associates.

Nabil may be a follower of the university unit Chhatra League general secretary Saddam Hussain, also DUCSU assistant general secretary.

Nurul also alleged that Nabil also assaulted one among his associates Shakil Mia while he tried to prevent him.

Assistant proctor Sima Islam said that there was a touch bit altercation between the duo and both of them filed complaints against one another. She said that that they had solved the difficulty.

Nurul Huq Nur was beaten by the Chhatra League activists a minimum of ninefold since he was elected vice-president of DUCSU on March 11, 2019.

In the latest attack on December 21, 2019, a minimum of 40 students including Nurul was hospitalized after the ruling party-backed Bangladesh Chhatra League and Muktijuddha Mancha launched a series of attacks on DUCSU Office.
